If you've ever been compelled to ask the question, "How do I play Mortal Kombat...?" Wonder no more! Series co-creator John Tobias shared page one of the arcade manual which vividly explains the expectations of the original Mortal Kombat unit.

Back in March, Mortal Kombat Online took an overview of the winding Saga of Mortal Kombat HD. The ill fated project began life as a contemporary remake of the classic games, using new actors to recreate the original sprites in an HD digitized format. As revealed by an unnamed source who worked on the project: the game was shelved by Warner Brothers for internal reasons [full story].

Little has been made known or available from the aborted Mortal Kombat HD project, but thanks to make-up artist Tanea Brooks -- we've now got our most intimate look at some of the work that took place!

Recently, Mortal Kombat series co-creator and project lead Ed Boon has been bitten by the Twitter bug. Due to Ed's plentiful updates with Mortal Kombat information as well as images, this thread is being created to house all the material in one, convenient location for the fans to easily access. With each new image added, this topic will be edited accordingly. When new additions are made to this news lead, it will be moved to the top of the thread listings. Ed Boon posted on his Twitter page a screenshot which reveals some more lost kontent - this time around, an early design of Mavado MK: Deadly Alliance. Boon's words:

Ed Boon posted on his Twitter page a screenshot which reveals some more lost kontent - a Soul Chamber level that almost made it in to Midway's famed basketball series, NBA Hangtime. From the horse's mouth:

These images were going to be used in a "hidden MK court" for one of Midway's NBA Jam/Hangtime home ports. But the NBA said no. :(

Excited about MK9 and WB, but wish we could have released DLC for MKvsDC. Here's a peek.

Ed's other comment indicates that Quan Chi and Harley Quinn were being worked on together; therefore, we may get her render next.
